From the Father's Heart

The Bible many times speaks of the ‘heart’ of man; this refers to the ‘spirit-man’ of the individual (male or female). The very center of the human being, Jesus said where the heart is, there also is your treasure. The Bible says; the heart of man, the spirit of man, the place where both evil and good can flow out of.

It’s not what is on the outside that makes a ‘man’ or ‘woman’ of Godly character, but what is on the inside of that person. What’s in the heart of man will be revealed in the life of that man. The gifts, the externals do not make a man; it’s what is deep inside of him that which lies underneath, in the internal center, that determines what will be revealed on the outside.

We often try to change ourselves and others by trying to change any or all of the externals, in the hope that these influences, situations, relationships, etc. will change the person. But all this does sadly is just put more glitter on the already dead Christmas tree. Change must come from inside, not from the outside, if the heart of man rejects any external influence for change, then that change will not take place. People except or reject Christ based on their heart (spirit-man) condition, not on mental excuses. For the heart of man, that center of his very being is where the real changes are made and last.

Love is not a mental exercise, feeling, expression or decision; no it’s a heart release out of the very fibers of that being. Many people think that their minds control everything, when in actual fact it is the heart of man that decides. The Bible says that ‘deep calls unto deep’, what that means is that there is a deeper place then the mind of man and that place is the ‘heart’ of man, the center of his existence.

The Bible says that the life is in the blood and it is the heart that pumps it through the body not the mind. Did you know that the human heart generates enough energy in twelve hours to lift sixty-five tons one foot off the ground? It’s the heart of man that needs changing, not his thinking patterns. Root causes are not found embedded in the mind, they lay hidden in the depths of the heart of man.
